The Peripherals of Spirituality..

A day back, I and my mother were discussing life!! The conversation had started with a topic on personalities and behavior of humans. In midst of the conversation, she said a statement which not only surprised me but also changed my perception towards looking at situations and people. The statement she said was, '' You know Shruti.. our mind is like a microchip.. each and every single thought that gets generated or the conversation that we have with it is stored in this microchip, and this chip is connected to God, which is like the motherboard. We may act otherwise to what we actually think.. but nothing can be hidden from God, for only this entity knows each and every bit of information about every single one of us.'' At first I was surprised about how beautifully my mother had explained about the relevance between a technical equipment and something that I ignore almost completely (inner consciousness), both which I have an encounter with, on a day to day basis. Isn't it a beautiful realization that science is derived from spirituality? Every single bit of this materialism has a relevance or rather, a connection to spiritualism. Just like a bulb will only lighten up if it's connected to the main power supply, a human body may be considered alive only when it's connected to it's soul. Just like a river flowing through many places, ultimately subsides and merges into it's source..the Ocean.., the soul thrives into the materialistic world taking many forms and ultimately has to merge into the super soul, the Formless Supreme. All beings nothing but different reflections of one entity just like pots and pans made of the same material i.e clay, different types of jewellery made up of the same material.. i.e gold or silver. These examples and statements are not of today or yesteryear but they have been spoken and written since ages by the enlightened ones with a single purpose to awaken the souls sleeping in the darkness of ignorance!! I maybe wrong but it feels that the westernization has made us ignorant of the very intellect that this country has possessed since the beginning of civilization, the intellect which the western people are now conducting researches on and have even started to implement them in their lives. Most of the discoveries or findings today in the modern world already have their presence in the scriptures or architectures dated back to the ancient India. This gift of abundance of knowledge infused with logic by our ancestors can only be utilized efficiently if we make sincere efforts to know them and understand the importance of implementing them in our lives. I guess, this boon differentiates us from the rest of the world and so only and only in India, we find scientists praying to the Super Power before, during or after executions of their important missions!! Their actions are somehow slowly bridging the gap between Science and Spirituality.. and for the rest of us.. it's never too late to start exploring...the Science of Spirituality !!
