The Mirror Speaks!!

It's been a while since I had a conversation with myself.. I mean a sensible one.. where my conscience tells me how I messed up a situation pretty badly and blah blah!! It's been a while since I have introspected.. As I sit and think how am I goin to untangle the mess..I am reminded of someone who has been with me since my infancy.. how this person pulled me up whenever I fell to the ground.. how this person cried whenever I got hurt physically or emotionally but started the process to heal me immediately.. how this person took negativity in the face and never let me down.. or the times when I was gripped with fear but this person told me to hold on to myself in times of adversities.. the times when I had to choose between good and bad... Between forgiving and holding on to grudges.. between losing all hopes and trying once more.. how this person has never left my side.. in times where I found myself completely isolated from the rest of the world but this person stayed glued to me no matter what..taking on the tantrums.. taking on the hatred..taking on every challenge that life threw at me... This person had never budged from my side.. I look at this person and think I would have never made it if it weren't for this person...  I smile and this person smiles back..The scars..the wrinkles..the pimples..the broken heart..the broken bones.. the excruciating pain..the greying of the hair...it was all for me..all this time..all the way!! This person was none other than my own self!! Of all the people in the world, how I had forgotten to thank my own self to have stood here amongst a zillion lives striving to make a mark in this ever changing world!! The truest form I could ever be!! The most beautiful form of creation that God made.. At the end of the conversation..I smile as I say to this person.. "You are a lone warrior and you should be proud of how you have managed to become..what you are today!!" The person at the other side of the mirror smiles back and says " You and I have a long way to go"!!
